Richmond Hill sweeps Wayne County in basketball doubleheader

Tay Reynolds scored a game high 17 points to help lead Richmond Hill to a 42-28 region 2A-AAAA win over visiting Wayne County.
The Lady Wildcat defense set the tone early by holding the Lady Yellow Jackets to just 12 first half points while racking up double digits in turnovers.
Richmond Hill improved to 11-8 and 5-2 in the region. The Lady Wildcats face No. 4-ranked Bryan County tonight, then have three straight region road games starting Tuesday at Ware County.
The Lady Wildcats have won three in a row.

In boys' action, Lorenza Ross' 12 points, Vernon Jackson's 11 and D'Angelo Johnson's 10 points helped carry the Wildcats to a 64-48 region 2A-AAAA win over Wayne County.

Richmond Hill avenged an earlier loss to the Yellow Jackets and improved their record to 14-6, 4-3. The Wildcats are at Bryan County tonight and will travel to Ware County on Tuesday for the first of three straight region games before they return home on Friday Feb. 11 for the home finale against Calvary.

Wayne County was led by Michael Merritt's game high 18 points.
