Richmond Hill alumnus Shaquille Walker finished third in the 800-meter run for Brigham Young University at the NCAA Indoor Championships on Saturday in Birmingham, Alabama, according to byucougars.com.

Walker finished with a time of 1 minute, 47.50 seconds. Clayton Murphy of Akron was first at 1:46.68, and Eliud Rutto of Middle Tennessee State was second at 1:46.81, according to ncaa.com.

In January, Walker set a school record in the indoor 800 by finishing in 1:46.97 at the Washington Invitational in Seattle.
