The Richmond Hill boys cross country team with their trophy after Saturday's state meet.

The Richmond Hill cross country teams both finished in the top 11 in their respective races Saturday at the GHSA 6A meet in Carrollton.

The top overall finisher was Daryn Pettit, who also won a state title in the 800 meters last spring at the 5A state track meet. She finished fifth.

The boys team finished fourth overall our of 31 teams, led by Jacob Hedgepeth in 12th. The rest of the Wildcats were Rakeem Littles (21), Cooper Williams (25), Jalen Murray (31), Caleb Sahr (55) and Ian Watson (78).

The girls team came in 11th overall out of 30 teams. Besides Pettit, their finishers were Kayla Gholar (25), Gabrielle New (75), Eleanor Skinkle (92), Sara Kapheim (113) and Hannah Bryant (148).

Both teams were Region 2-AAAAAA champions.
