Redskin Stadium witnessed another victory Friday night as Bryan County shut out the Montgomery County Eagles 38-0.
Within seconds of the opening kickoff, the Redskins exhibited an advantage on the field against Montgomery County as Paul Harris ran 84 yards for a touchdown.
The early lead helped the Redskins produce what head coach Mark Wilson called "the most complete game I ever coached."
The Redskin offense would amass 140 rushing yards, with the defense only allowing the Eagles to cross midfield one time.
Wilson added, "We scored on a kickoff return, a punt return, rushing touchdown and a pass touchdown. You can't get much more complete than that."
Backed up against their own goal line by an unforgiving Redskin defense, the Eagles bungled a punt caught by Dashon Dixon, who slipped into the end zone for the Redskin's second touchdown.
The defense, led by Stephon Fennell and Damion Dixon, both with six tackles, and Nick Scott with five, continued to frustrate Montgomery County, forcing six punts and one turnover on downs.
"I am really proud of how the defense is playing at this time," said Redskin defensive coordinator Morgan Jersey. "We are playing extremely fast and more importantly we are playing disciplined. We have 11 men flying to the football and finishing the play when they get there. Our boys are making plays, which makes my job easier."
In the second half, quarterback Jacob White and receiver Raekwon Love connected on a 29-yard touchdown pass. White completed 7 of 8 passes for 88 yards.
The Redskin defense allowed no Eagle completions and capitalized on one interception by Harris resulting in key field placement for a second-quarter touchdown.
Bryan County kicker Ty Wilson proved accurate with a 39-yard field goal, while a fourth quarter drive and touchdown by freshman running back Kerry White set the final score at 38-0.
The Redskins will return to the field in Glascock County at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 23.
