Redskins down Vidalia

Jeremy McClendon scored 22 points and Keyshaun Street added 19 as Bryan County High School ran past Vidalia 80-51 on Saturday in Pembroke in a Region 2-AA basketball game.

Also scoring in double figures for BCHS were Alex Simmons with 13 points and Ja Sean Tate and Kajana Dixon with 10 points each.

The win improved the Redskins to 13-2 overall and 7-0 in the region.

In the girls’ contest, Vidalia pulled out a 65-53 win over the Lady Redskins, who fell to 9-7 overall and 4-3 in the region.

Julianne Brown was the only Lady Redskin in double figures with 21 points.

Wildcats fall

Richmond Hill High School fell 82-79 to Ware County in a 3-AAAAA basketball game Saturday in Waycross.

The loss dropped RHHS to 12-5 overall and 3-3 in 3-AAAAA. Isaiah Hill led the Wildcats with 20 points, while M.J. Hall tossed in 15 points and Andre Walker and Sam James added 13 each.

In the girls’ game, the Lady Wildcats (7-10, 1-5 region) fell 54-33 to the Lady Gators.
