Earlier Thursday, the Bryan County High School boys' basketball team beat Benedictine 53-42 in the quarterfinals to earn the program's first trip to the state tournament in at least a decade. It's reportedly the first trip to state for the Redskins since the late 1990s.

The Wildcats also are in the state tournament after knocking off Ware County on Wednesday. Richmond Hill played No. 1 seed Jenkins late Thursday night. They fell 81-49.
