The boys' and girls basketball teams at Bryan County High School advanced in the Region 2-AA basketball tournament. The girls beat Long County 59-39, the boys downed Atkinson County 66-64.

Richmond Hill High School's boys' and girls' teams won first-round games in the Region 3-AAAAA tournament, which is being played in Richmond Hill. The boys topped Ware County for the third time this season, winning 72-65. The girls beat Jenkins.

Wrestling tournament moved

The state traditional wrestlimg tournament has been moved back to  Feb. 21-22. Three Richmond Hill wrestlers have qualified for the tournament: Zach Perez, Zach Bringer and Caleb Branham.
