Richmond Hill High School fell behind early to Starr’s Mill on Thursday in the first round of the state Class AAAAA volleyball playoffs. Despite rallying, the Lady Wildcats went on to lose three straight sets to the visiting Panthers, 10-25, 16-25 and 16-25, to bring their postseason to an abrupt end.

But the match gave RHHS coach Ashleigh Davis-Lee a glimpse of a future she wants to see for her young program. In short, she wants it to be among the state’s best.

"We saw what we’ve been working towards," she said. "That’s what we want to be in the very near future."
