Lady Redskins to hit road for opening round of playoffs

It was a match up that the Richmond Lady Wildcats had been waiting on since Nov. 22. The Lady Cats lost to then No. 1-ranked Statesboro 70-40.
In front of a packed home crowd the Lady Cats exacted revenge in a big way with a 59-50 win over Statesboro and a Region 2-AAAA championship.
Richmond Hill had started slow in some of the tournament games but not against.
"We start slow sometime and we do I have to remind myself not to worry until the second quarter. We are going to create turnovers off of our defense even if the offense isn't clicking at the beginning," Richmond Hill Lady Wildcats Head Coach Elizabeth Bennett said.
Bennett had no worries as her Lady Wildcats jumped out to an early lead.
Wofford signee Aliyah Johnson scored all over the floor. Finishing with a game high 26 points Johnson dominated in transition but also hit key free throws and jump shots.
