When it comes to the girls' state Class A basketball playoffs, one more win and the Lady Redskins are in.
Bryan County High School moved a step closer to punching their ticket with a 38-31 win Monday over Emanuel County Institute in the first round of the Region 3-A playoffs in Pembroke.
A win today against Truetlen County will put the Lady Redskins in the Class A playoffs for the third straight season. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. at BCHS.
"We will play Truetlen for the third time this year," BCHS girls' coach Mario Mincey said. "The girls understand that Truetlen is the only thing standing in their way of making the state playoffs for the third year in a row."
