The Bryan County High School Redskins fell 42-7 to No. 3-ranked Vidalia on Friday night in Vidalia.

Bryan County’s only score came when Damian Dixon recovered a fumble in the fourth quarter and ran it back 81 yards for a TD. Ty Wilson added the extra point for the Redskins, who fell to 1-6 and 1-5 in 2-AA.

The Indians (7-0, 6-0 in Region 2-AA) used a balanced offensive attack to take down the Redskins. Vidalia quarterback D.J. Mincey completed 7-of-9 passes for 131 yards and four TDs and ran for 71 yards.

Juan Foster added 140 yards on 14 carries and caught a TD pass. Tra Hardy added two running TDs for the Indians.

Bryan County will be at home on Friday night to celebrate Homecoming and hope to have an easier night on the field as they host the Atkinson County Rebels (0-7, 0-6). Kickoff is 7:30 p.m.
