Bryan County High School moved up to No. 3 in the most recent Atlanta Journal-Constitution Class A girls' basketball poll.
The Lady Redskins, previously ranked No. 4, beat cross-county rival Richmond Hill 61-56 in a nonregion contest Saturday night. The win improves BCHS to 19-2 overall.
Olivia Melvin had 23 points for Bryan County, which also got 15 points from Tiffany Howard and nine from Diamond McGirt.
Tay Reynolds led RHHS (11-9)with 13 points. Aliyah Johnson and Keeava Jackson chipped in with 12 and 11 points, respectively.
In the nightcap, Richmond Hill got 16 points from Kody Morales in a 59-32 win over Bryan County. Steven Williams and D'Angelo Johnson added nine and eight points, respectively.
Albert Chavis had nine points for the winless Redskins. Devante Frazier finished with seven points and Mychael Smith had six points.
