Lady Wildcats top Liberty Co.
A big fifth inning helped propel Richmond Hill High School to a 17-5 win over Liberty County High School on Thursday in a Region 2A-AAAA softball showdown.
"It was a great team win," RHHS coach Sean Strickland said. "We really put some things together tonight. Makayla Peny and Ally Crum did a great job pitching for us."
Cheyenne Marsh went 3 for 3 with a triple and two RBIs and scored four times for the Lady Wildcats. Amy Robben was 2 for 4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Lauren Simerly was 2 for 2 with a double and two RBIs and Sophia Lorimer went 2 for 3 with a double, three RBIs and scored three runs.
The win improved Richmond Hill to 1-3 overall and 1-1 in the region.

Volleyball improves to 9-2
The Richmond Hill High School volleyball team improved to 9-2 overall with wins over Windsor Forest (25-11,25-14) and Bradwell Institute (25-17, 25-20) on Thursday at RHHS.
