All-Region forward Satashala Beasley was a leader for the Bryan County High School girls’ basketball team.

Now, the 1,000-point scorer is taking her talents and determination to Chattahoochee Tech, where she’ll study business and basketball while continuing to be a leader.

Beasley, who averaged double-digit rebounds despite being only 5-foot-9, signed a full ride with the two-year school on Tuesday afternoon in the media center before a crowd of well wishers.

"I liked the environment and the coaching staff and the players on my team now, it’s a good fit for me," said Beasley, who plans on playing at a four-year school down the road. "I think the coach has the ability to move me to the next level in basketball. And If not, I’m going to successful in business."

Beasley thanked her high school coaches, Mario Mincey and Cindy Bennett, and Cindy Dawson for their help over the years.
