Bryan County High School softball standout Jerri Hines signed Wednesday to play college softball at Georgia Military College.

"Jerri’s a great kid. She is one of the toughest outs for an opposing pitcher. She posses a lot of power and is a threat to go deep on any pitcher," Bryan County coach Al Butler said.

Hines is the fifth player from the 2011 Lady Redskins Elite Eight team and seventh from the school’s Final Four team of two years ago to earn a scholarship.

"What she brings to a team in the dugout is priceless," Butler said. "She keeps everyone focused and ready especially in trying times. Her ability to keep everyone loose and ready is a great asset. I wish her the best. There will be a huge void in our lineup next season."
