WaterWays Township a 2,300-acre gated master-planned community in south Bryan County, announced their participation as the hosting site for the TOPO Athletic 5K and 10K Trek; a multi-race event designed to attract all levels of walkers and runners with unique courses that will challenge participants while providing the opportunity to experience different layouts that wind through the beautiful neighborhoods of Waterways Township.
The TOPO Athletic TM 5K and 10K Trek is Aug. 10. It is hosted by Georgia Game Changers Running Company and WaterWays Township with proceeds benefiting Richmond Hill High School's cross country and track teams.
The event is designed to appeal to all levels of walkers and runners. The five-mile course is walker and stroller friendly, while the 10-mile course will take runners on an off-road adventure along various types of terrain found throughout the community, including the edges of the future golf course. The 10K course will provide a physical challenge as well as the opportunity to experience the natural beauty of this coastal Georgia location. Both races will start in the gorgeous setting of Long Creek Park and will finish along the straights of WaterWays Parkway South.
“We are absolutely thrilled to partner with Georgia Game Changers for another race,” said Vance Askew, marketing and sales director, WaterWays Township. “The Resolution Runz in January was such a success, and encouraging people to live an active lifestyle through fun outdoor activities is what we are all about here at WaterWays; so being able to share the beautiful landscape at WaterWays for an outdoor race is yet another way we are able to support our local organization and community.”
Registration for this event is required. Race registration is available at both Georgia Game Changers Running Company in Richmond Hill and online at http://beta.active.com/richmond-hil-ga/running/races/topo-athletic-5k-and-10k-trek-2013
