The Richmond Hill High School Wildcats split a doubleheader with Colquitt County Friday night, losing 3-2 before trouncing the competition 10-0.
.In game one, Noah Stone pitched well, giving up 3 runs, however the Cats came up 1 run short. Sophomore Shane Tucker drove in the 2 runs for the Cats, and Bryson Helsel was 2 for 3 at the plate.
In game two, Grant Wagner, Joey Succi, and Bryce Smith each had 2 hits for Richmond Hill. Landon Walker got the start on the mound and pitched 6 shutout innings, allowing just 3 hits, and striking out 4, to get the 10-0 win.
Now the Wildcats get ready for the State Playoffs, with games Wednesday at South Effingham, and a home doubleheader Friday against McIntosh High School.
