Nia Gordon scored three goals and Grace Kiser scored one to lead unbeaten Richmond Hill to a 4-1 win over visiting Statesboro on Friday in a 3-AAAAA girls’ soccer match.
The Lady Wildcats (14-0, 8-0 region) got three assists from Jasmine Marquez, while Maria Cuevas notched two saves.
The Lady Wildcats picked up a big win April 1, downing Savannah Christian 5-1 at Wildcats Stadium. The Lady Raiders are ranked No. 5 in Class A.
Gordon scored four goals and Kiser kicked in one goal for RHHS, which had two assists from Tanner Boyle and one each from Kiser, Logan Martin and Erin Gilooly.
Cuevas had eight saves in the match. Jenn Coulter scored for Savannah Christian.
The RHHS boys’ soccer team improved to 8-4-1 overall and 7-1 in 3-AAAAA with a 4-1 win Friday over visiting Statesboro. Individual stats were unavailable.
The Wildcats tied SCPS 1-1 on April 1.

Bryan County standout still swinging hot bat
Former Bryan County High School star Tiffany Howard still is setting the table for No. 6 Auburn.
The two-time Class A softball player of the year is hitting a team-high .524 for the Lady Tigers (37-5, 10-2 SEC), and leads the team in on-base percentage (.611), hits (65), triples (6) and total plate appearances.
Howard, a junior, is among the team leaders in nearly every offensive category.

Wildcats, Redskins at Plankenhorn Invite
Track-and-field athletes from Bryan County High School and Richmond Hill High School were among those competing in the 12th annual Derrick Plankenhorn Invitational on Saturday at Southeast Bulloch High School.
The Wildcats finished third in the girls’ competition and sixth in the boys’ division. The Redskins placed sixth in the girls and 10th in the boys.
