Lady 'Skins in state finals

Bryan County High Lady 'Skins softball team (28-8) is headed to Columbus for the State Finals after taking down Bacon County (25-11) in the third and final game of the series with a 9-6 win on Thursday afternoon.
A double-header was played on Wednesday, with Bryan County taking the first game 9-5. Bacon County came back in the second game and won 7-4 to force the third and deciding game.
The finals will be in Columbus on Oct. 28-30

When the Wildcats opened the season Monday night against Glynn County, they were making their debut in a new state-of-the-art stadium that rivals any facility in the state other than perhaps Buford’s new $62 million playpen.
