Two 12-and-under Hendrix Park softball teams, the Knockouts and Hendrix Park Heat, just wrapped up highly successful seasons with top rankings in the CAA.

The Hendrix Park Knockouts, coached by Jennifer Peny, beat Bloomingdale 12-4 on May 20 to become CAA champions. They finished their season with a total record of 9-1. The girls that make up the Knockouts are: Alexis, Adkins, Heaven Ahmay, Katlyn Burke, Josey Denmark, Lindsey Dyal, Brooke Edwards, Kaitlyn Kennedy, Samantha Owens, MaKayla Peny, Kaylee Perks and Anna Tadlock.

Hendrix Park Heat, coached by Gary Walker, were edged out by the Knockouts on May 15 in a double header, losing one of the games by merely one point. They are pleased with their final second place CAA ranking. The Knockouts is the only team that beat them this season as they ended up with an impressive 8-2 record. The girls that make up the Heat are: Taylor Butler, Aaliyah Carter, Maigan Gibson, Kennedy Godwin, Seniorita Ivey, Kaitlyn Meekins, Macy Newman, Maegan Payne, Victoria Pruitt, Ashley Shiver and Alana Walker.
