Golf teams win big in Bryan

Bryan County High School golf coach Cherard Freeman (5th from right) is flanked by the Redskins boys’ and girls’ golf teams who both qualified for the Class A-DII state golf tournament for the first time in school history.

 The girls finished eighth in the 36-hole event which concluded Tuesday at Bartram Trail Golf Club in Evans, Ga., and the boys finished ninth in the state.

Wildcats compete in 7-on-7 football

On June 13, the Richmond Hill Wildcats football team competed at a 7-on-7 football camp hosted at Statesboro by Georgia Southern’s football program. Various other high school programs in the southeast Georgia region were in attendance.
