Bryan County High School gave its homecoming night crowd reason to cheer - and a potential glimpse into the future - during the Redskins' 55-22 loss to Screven County in a Region 3-A football matchup.
Trailing big, the freshmen laden Redskins parlayed a fumble recovery and 74-yard return for a TD by Nathan Lee into 22 straight points against the Gamecocks, the most a BCHS team has scored in recent memory.
"These kids don't quit," BCHS coach Cherard Freeman said afterward. "They keep fighting."
