Carson Singer, a homeschool high school senior from Ellabell, signed his Letter of Intent May 18 to play collegiate soccer this fall at Toccoa Falls College, an NCAA Division II school.

Singer is the Coastal Homeschool Athletic Association's first male player to sign to play soccer at the collegiate level and the 4th CHAA Hurricane to sign this season following three Lady Cane seniors who signed earlier.

A 4-year defensive starter for the Hurricanes and 2-time team captain, Singer anchored a Hurricanes team that was 11-4-4 this season and helped lead his team to the GICAA state semi-finals for the second year in a row. Singer had 2 goals and 9 assists on the year.

The Coastal Homeschool Athletic Association was founded in August 2010 to promote varsity level sports programs for home educated and small Christian school athletes in the Savannah and lowcountry of South Carolina that would otherwise not have the opportunity to participate on organized sports teams. The soccer program was instituted in 2015.
