 Dixon runs wild

Terron Dixon ran for 249 yards, scored four touchdowns and had six tackles to lead Bryan County High School to a 28-14 win over Long County in a nonregion football game Friday in Pembroke.

Jahmond Dukes had seven tackles for the Redskins, who also got sterling play from the offensive line.

 

Bedgood scores three TDs

Richmond Hill High school’s Aaron Bedgood had a big night for the Wildcats in the team’s 23-21 loss to Wayne County in a battle of unbeaten teams ranked in the top 10 in their respective classifications. : 

Bedgood had 16 carries for 107 yards and two touchdowns and added a 75-yard kickoff off return for a score.

Anthony Salazar converted on all three extra point attempts.

Luke Carter was 5 of 9 for 97 yards and threw two interceptions. Matthew Daniel was his top target, hauling in two catches for 85 yards.

Michael Freightman led the defense with nine tackles.
