  1. Alkeem Collins, a 2007 graduate of Bryan County High School, was presented recently with the Erik Edenfield Scholarship. This scholarship is presented to the BCHS Most Valuable Player in the amount of $250.00. The scholarship, given by Savage, Turner, Pinson & Karsman of Savannah, is presented in honor of Erik Edenfield, son of Barbara Edenfield who works as a paralegal at the firm for R. Bart Turner. Erik Edenfield, a 2006 graduate of Bryan County High School was tragically killed in an automobile accident in 2006. The scholarship will run for five years at $250 each year. Erik Edenfield was the son of Mike and Barbara Edenfield of Pembroke. Collins is seen here receiving awards at the BCHS sports banquet in May.
