Bryan County High School’s head football coach Mark Wilson is resigning his position as coach and teacher at the end of the school year.
In a news release from the school, Wilson said he was resigning to become the head football coach at Taylor County High School in Butler.
“I want to thank everyone for their help and the opportunity to coach at such a fine place,” he said.
Bryan County Superintendent Dr. Paul Brooksher said, “Coach Wilson is held in high regard by the community and the Bryan County School System. We understand the need to take care of family first and wish coach Wilson the very best in his endeavors.”
BCHS has begun a search to hire a teacher and coach to replace Wilson, the release said.
