The Bryan County High School softball team honored its best at a banquet recently.

The Lady Redskins advanced to their third Class A Elite Eight in four years in 2010. Other awards presented during the banquet and their recipients were: Albert Lodge Award, Stanfield; Most Improved, Newman; Captain ,Stanfield; ACE Award, Howard; Golden Glove, Howard, Schuman; Wooden Slugger, Howard; MVP, Howard; Georgia Athletic  Coaches Association Class A Player of the Year, Howard; Savannah Morning News Player of the Year; Region 3A East Player of the Year, Howard; All Region 1st Team, Bacon, Newman, Sierra Cornell, Jerri Hines; All Region Honorable Mention, Schuman; GACA First Team All State, Howard, Cornell; GACA Secont Team All State, Newman. Coaches were Al Butler, Karen Lynn and Daniel Kaufman. (Provided)
