You really have one shot to bloom
pastor corner

Recently on one of my prayer walks, I looked over and noticed some blooms that had fallen to the ground from a yellow jasmine vine. This is normal because blooms from flowers naturally fade and drop off. This reminded me of the slogan that reads, “One life to live, one life to give”. In other words, we have one life in order to let God’s beauty shine through us and then that life will be over. We can’t redo the past; we can only live out today forward.

The Apostle Paul encouraged Christ followers to understand that our goal is to shine like stars in the sky.

Look how Philippians 2:15 reads, “so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.

Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky.”

So, what are you going to do with the rest of your life? The choice is yours.

Either the beauty of Christ will shine through you or it won’t. The good news is that it can and others will see it and be in awe.
