What would Jesus do?
pastor corner

In the late 1800’s the acronym WWJD became popular in the United States after a popular Christian book, “In His steps: What would Jesus do?”, was written. It became popular again in the 1990’s, when especially Christian youth, wore a bracelet or wristband with those letters on it.

This is really a great question to ask ourselves before any decision we have to make or any action that we are about to do. What would Jesus actually do if He was in our place? What did He instruct us to do?

Where would we go to find answers to such questions? We would go to a place where we find recorded the things Jesus said and did, the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John in the Bible.

Let me just give you one example of what Jesus told us to do as to our attitude towards our enemies. He said in Matthew 5:44, “But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,..”

The problem most people have is that they don’t know how to act and what to say and they don’t know what Jesus would do because they don’t take the time to go to God’s Word to read and study it. Start taking that time today and you will realize that Jesus and the Word of God will never lead you astray.

As they say, blood is thicker than water...and Hawaiian Tropic.
