The colors of nature
pastor corner

The other day as I was walking, I noticed all of the colors of nature around me. I counted 6 different shades of green in the grass and on the trees. I saw the colors of brown, grey, and black on the trees. I saw yellow and pink flowers. I saw a few beautiful white egrets sitting alongside the marsh grass.

I saw some trees already having their leaves change to red, orange and yellow. I started to think how much of this beauty that we miss because we are in such a rush.

I also thanked the Lord for the ability to see all that God has created. Ecclesiastes 20:12 puts it this way: “Ears that hear and eyes that see -- the Lord has made them both.” We can easily take for granted our eyesight.

I think part of Psalms 46:10 where it states, “Be still and know that I am God” can be fulfilled by us taking the time to acknowledge and view God’s beautiful creation.
