The beauty of God’s creation
pastor corner

Recently I had the privilege of going up to the mountains and viewing some of the beauty of God’s creation. The mountains themselves were beautiful and then there was the fall foliage that was spectacular.

During my lifetime I have been able to see so much of what God has created. In addition to different mountain ranges there are gorges, fields, oceans and deserts, all with their different charms to offer. The Bible tells us that it was God who created it all. Genesis 1:1 says, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth”.

As I was thinking about how beautiful this earth is, I started to imagine how beautiful heaven must be. The book of Revelation does give us a glimpse where it says in chapter 21 these following words; “The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass. The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The twelve gates were twelve pearls.... The great street of the city was of pure gold, like transparent glass”.

The good news is that we get to enjoy the beauty here on earth as long as we live here and the great news is that we can enjoy what God has prepared for us in this wonderful place called heaven for eternity. To enjoy what’s on this earth we have to be born and to enjoy what is in heaven we must be born again.
