Taking time to remember

The children of Israel had once been in slavery in Egypt but were delivered by God’s intervention, yet they seemed to keep forgetting this. Moses had to instruct them in Deuteronomy 5:15 concerning this by saying, “remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that the Lord your God brought you out of there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm”.

As a Christian it is easy to forget things that the Lord has done for us in the past and the mighty deeds that He has performed on our behalf. We need to be reminded by the Holy Spirit of all the goodness of God to us that we definitely don’t deserve. We need consistently to have an attitude of gratitude as we begin each day.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR
The Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church, Burnt Church Committee, releases the following statement concerning the application of the Drayton-Parker Companies to rezone 3.832 acres of a 127.67 acre tract on SR Hwy 144 at Belfast River Road from A-5 Agricultural to B-2 General Commercial, which was withdrawn by the applicant on August 5, 2025, one week before the fourth and final public hearing at which this matter would have been finally voted on by the Bryan County Commission:
