New Year's resolutions
pastor corner

Most people that make New Year's resolutions fail to keep them. Most either forget about them or get frustrated and just give up within weeks into the new year. But it doesn't have to be this way; we can resolve to change in those areas that will be for our benefit and will bring honor to God.

Probably the most important resolution is to be the person God wants us to be, making a fresh commitment of complete consecration, resolving to having a richer and fuller relationship with our heavenly Father. We should desire to see God receive more glory and praise this new year as He works through our lives.

Another resolution is that we be dedicated more in prayer for the spiritual needs of those who are close to us; our family and friends particularly. We need to pray that we be a more powerful influence on our neighbors and those we work with.

A third possible resolution is that we ask God to help us mend any broken relationships. We need to be willing to be humble and admit our faults and be the better person. We need to be willing to forgive as God in Christ Jesus has forgiven us.

I personally want you to have a safe and happy New Year.
