The Word of God tells us in Ephesians 5:15-17 to analyze the life we live before others, to take advantage of present opportunities, and to make sure our priorities are in line with God's.

We only have so many opportunities to shine our lights for Jesus and to make a positive influence in the world where the Lord has placed us.

When counseling people about happenings in their lives that are not planned and are unexpected, I remind them that there are others that they will be coming in contact with that they otherwise would not have. Let me just give you an example: Let’s say that you have to go to the hospital for yourself or to visit someone close to you. There will be nurses, doctors, staff, and others who are there for the same reason that you are that God may use you to encourage, share God’s Word with or pray for.

We only have a certain amount of time on this earth, so may we look for opportunities each day that will fulfill our purpose in life, will be a positive influence on others and will end up giving our God honor and praise.
