The Richmond Hill YMCA kicked off our annual fundraising event, the Priceless Gifts Campaign, by participating in an organization-wide celebration on Tuesday, Jan. 23, with the rest of the YMCA’s of Coastal Georgia at the Habersham YMCA in Savannah. Because YMCA’s are all non-profit organizations, our yearly fundraising event is essential in allowing us to allocate the proper funds necessary to support our programs.
With so much support from the Richmond Hill community in previous years, we at the YMCA are confident that this year will be even more successful.
We would like to take this time to thank each and every person who has contributed to our YMCA in the past. Although we have already personally thanked those who have played a role in the advancement of both our YMCA and our community, we feel compelled to express our gratitude in a way that sincerely demonstrates our continuous appreciation.
Last year, our community helped us tremendously by raising over $35,000. Because of that, our YMCA was able to put $37,000 towards providing opportunities for more than 250 children to participate in areas such as youth sports, summer day camp, before & after school child care, teen events, and outreach programs. Because of the overwhelming show of generosity, we are extremely optimistic that this year’s fundraiser will be just as prosperous.
The theme for our 2007 Priceless Gifts Campaign is “Change from Every Dollar” and our goal is set at $38,000.
If the community responds as they have in the past, we will surely exceed that goal.
Because the people of Richmond Hill are so enthusiastic about promoting growth and development, our YMCA now has a better opportunity to become the type of establishment that can provide the highest quality of services for all of our community members. With continued support, there is no limit to how much progress the YMCA of Richmond Hill can achieve.
