Thankful for EMS, prayers for family

Dear Editor

I live on Turkey Trot Trail. I was traveling East on 144 Saturday when a Bryan County Deputy passed me. It was obvious something really bad had happened. I’m a mother and many thoughts ran through my head. It was all I could do to not follow the officer at his speed. When I got to Steeplechase the Officers and the EMS were leaving and it was clear they were on a mission to save a life. When passing a home on Steeplechase I noticed a lone Bryan County Sheriff’s car parked at the home of where the tragedy had occurred. I stopped and spoke with a neighbor who told me about the drowning. Tears came to my eyes and my thoughts were of the family and the deep sorrow they must be feeling. But later on that day I couldn’t help thinking of the emergency responders and how they probably went home to their loved ones with emotions that had been restrained during this accident. I for one can say I’m very thankful for all that they do. They are loved in South Bryan. My prayers are with the family.

Thank you,

Leigh Corbin
