Roberts accepts responsibility for violation

As a public officer holder I am required to provide the State Ethics Commission with a report about my business interests. I timely filed the report for 2006, but did not include some of the required information, primarily real estate holdings outside of Bryan County. I did disclose all of my real estate holdings and business interests within Bryan County.

When the Commission called this to my attention, I promptly amended my earlier report and submitted it, and the commission deems it adequate.

Nevertheless, my earlier filing was incomplete, and to accept responsibility for my prior, incomplete report, I have entered into a consent order that sets out my responsibility and provides for me to pay a fine in the amount of $9,300.00, which I have already sent to the Commission.

I recognize the importance of the disclosure requirements of the State Ethics Commission and will insure that these requirements are carefully followed in the future.
