Over the Hill Gang donates to society

Dear editor: The Richmond Hill Classic Vehicle Club known as the Over the Hill Gang recently made a $500 donation to the Richmond Hill Historical Society. The is to help with costs incurred in moving the Bailey Carpenter one-room barber shop to the museum grounds.
In the mid-1980s, the building was located under the large oak tree adjacent to the current Royal Ace Hardware store. The majestic oak tree has since fallen down.
New Richmond Hill residents do not know that Henry Ford, when he was in Richmond Hill/Ways Station, frequently had his hair cut or trimmed at the shop. Many items in the shop were provided by Mr. Ford, who often stopped by the little shop to chat about the events occurring in Richmond Hill.
