Advice on wastewater plant
Placeholder Image
Editor, The big question is -- will the new wastewater plant for Richmond Hill reduce phosphorus and nitrogen levels to 3 parts per million or less? If not then they need to start over again with their planning.
Wastewater treatment plants are consistently in the top three polluters and their primary contribution to damaging our waterways is, among other things, the excessive discharge of those two elements. Modern facilities can and do reduce those elements to proper levels.  The cost of such operations is not in the hundreds of thousands but the millions and still a better deal than contributing to the destruction of our rivers and waterways.
