Letter to the editor: We need term limits to save this country
LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Editor:

Our Constitutional Republic is less than 250 years old and we have politicians almost 100 years old. Term limits is a must. And nobody should be permanently assigned to the deep state of Washington D.C. including bureaucrats as overseers. The Capital should be where elected representatives meet quarterly to discuss legislation and issues plus it should be put back into original boundaries of Maryland and Virginia. The whole swamp has gotten too powerful and needs put in its place. To much fraternizing between parties leads to thinking and politicians only think about how to get more taxpayers money by confiscation using promises and doublespeak.

They actually think their job is to give out taxpayer money. They should concentrate heavily on oversight of every agency by starting with the Baseline Budgetary Process which gives all agencies automatic increases to budget. They shouldn’t be getting it to start with.

There’s not a person alive that can’t find an excuse to get and spend more taxpayer money.

Furthermore pass the Connie Mack Penny Plan to help reduce and eliminate the deficit. Another major step in taking back control over government is to make reductions in the size of federal bureaucracy. Especially during hard times created by government there shouldn’t be any hiring, plus wages should frozen for all federal employees.

There’s probably more that could be done but if we rid ourselves of lifers and get new outsiders in positions of responsibility and accountability then maybe just maybe we can save our country from the utopian elite wanting a one world order with them in power over us.

Small government is efficient. Large government is just the opposite and spreads like cancer.
