Letter to the editor: Hospice Savannah here to help loved ones cope with loss
Letter to the Editor generic

Editor:

I recognize there are many community members coping with reacting to the loss of a loved one during, or due to, the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. As board chair of Hospice Savannah Inc., I would just like to remind local residents they have free access to our Full Circle Grief and Loss Center for bereavement support.

Full Circle currently offers counseling and support to children, teens, and adults virtually or over the phone in both individual and group sessions. Because of social distancing guidelines and other restrictions, local residents may not always be able to mourn a loved one’s passing in the company of friends and family. Full Circle is can also hosting virtual memorial gatherings, where loved ones can be remembered and honored.

Full Circle services are fully funded by the generous donations of our community members. More information is available on the Hospice Savannah website or by calling Full Circle at 912-303-9442. I would encourage all our residents to please call for help if needed; it’s why we are here.

Sincerely, Derek Zimmerman,Board Chair, Hospice Savannah Inc.
