Letter to the editor: Carter trying to avoid being called RINO?
Letter to the Editor generic

Editor:

Congressman Carter, why don’t you admit the real reason you signed the amicus brief supporting the frivolous Texas Lawsuit to challenge and overturn election results instead of the excuses you made in your Dec. 12, 2020 interview with the Savannah Morning News.

We know you supported President Trump’s legislation 96 percent of the time. So, let’s set the record straight.

You are a Trump loyalist!!

You made that absolutely clear in your C-SPAN Washington Journal interview on Nov. 19 2020.

Here’s what you said: “I love Donald Trump’s policies,” “He’s spot on”; “He’s done an outstanding job as President of the United States”; “One of the greatest Presidents we’ve ever had, because of his policies”, “What he’s done I think it will benefit this country for years to come.”

The real truth is that you are afraid of the backlash of a Presidential Tweet like those Georgia’s Governor Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger have received from President Trump.

Be honest, Congressmen Carter. You’re afraid of being called a RINO (Republican in Name Only) and ought to be ashamed and embarrassed for not standing up for Democracy.

Now that’s setting the record straight!!
