Lawmaker has area's interest at heart
Letter to the editor

Editor, Recently, in letters to the editor, some have questioned U.S. Congressman Buddy Carter’s loyalty with respect to eminent domain and the Palmetto Pipeline.

Buddy Carter has said since day one that the property rights of those facing eminent domain from the Palmetto Pipeline are a concern. Most recently, he told WTOC News, “Whenever you start messing with property rights, that is something where we want everyone to be well-represented and well-informed.”

Those who oppose the pipeline should focus their efforts on the company that has applied for eminent domain, Kinder Morgan, and not the people fighting for our area. Buddy Carter is striking the right balance on this issue and deserves our support.
