Know where to find God’s love
pastor corner

If we want to find out what God’s love is all about where do we look?

First, the Scriptures teach us that God’s love is best represented through Jesus Christ, God’s Son. It tells us that he is the exact representation of the Father’s nature.

Hebrews I:3 says, “The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being.” In other words, if you want to know what God’s love looks like, just look at the life of Jesus. His whole ministry, words and actions alike, was motivated by the love he had for those who heard him and the lives he touched.

Also, God’s love should be represented by Christ followers. We know that we can’t be the exact representation of the Father’s nature. That would make us divine and we are human with all of our imperfections. However, others should be able to see that love is a motivating factor in our relationships with them, and this kind of love only comes from a relationship with God.

Jesus taught us in John 13:34 saying, “As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”

If you have not experienced the love of God, that love is available if you will receive it. If you are a follower of Christ, ask the Lord to help you show that love to those around you remembering that your life may be the only Bible some are reading.
