Have faith that God will help

In Job 42:2, we read how the author viewed God. He said, “I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted.”

What he is saying is that there is no power greater than that of the Lord’s.

There is nothing that he cannot do on our behalf that will be for our benefit and his glory.

There are times when there are things we can take care of ourselves, but then there comes those times that we are no match for what we are faced with. There are challenges, issues and problems that through our own power we are helpless.

Think about those areas where you are powerless. You as an individual can’t control the economy, which can affect your job situation, which can affect your finances. You can’t always control your physical well-being, which can lead to missed work, added expenses and change of lifestyle.

You can’t control other’s decisions that may affect you. Your spouse may cheat on you or leave you, your kidsmay make bad choices that you have to deal with. You can’t control natural disasters, which can cause all kinds of havoc.

There are these times when we have to admit we are powerless and need God’s help.

The good news is that the all-powerful God can and will help us if we trust in him. A man of God named Hanani in 2 Chronicles 16:9 put it this way: “...the eyes of the Lord range throughout the whole earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.”

Think about your life today. What areas do you need to see a supernatural intervention of God’s power?
