Guest column: DABC highlights DKW Logistics
Guest columnist

By Jon Seagraves.

The Development Authority of Bryan County would like to highlight DKW Logistics, a third-party logistics provider for Kawasaki.

DKW Logistics is a full-service warehousing and freight forwarding company that specializes in the expedited shipping of freight. It’s the largest Kawasaki distribution center in the country and moves about 25% of Kawasaki’s products through its warehouse.

This company distributes products such as motorcycles, ATVs, watercraft, and utility vehicles. They also provide all motor vehicle inventory to every Kawasaki dealership in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, providing inventory to approximately 150 dealerships across the Southeast. In addition to the Southeast, DKW also fulfills orders for many Kawasaki dealerships in South American countries making the company an international provider.

DKW Logistics relocated to Interstate Centre in 2007 upon realizing that the company needed more room for its operations, and the company has successfully continued operations in Bryan County for the last 14 years. With just four employees, DKW Logistics is able to effectively carry out its operations and keep Kawasaki’s logistics running smoothly. This small but mighty staff continually expands the company’s reach in the amount and type of product the company handles.

We are glad that DKW Logistics decided to relocate to Bryan County and are now able to call Interstate Centre its home. It has been a joy to watch them succeed over the years, and we look forward to watching the company continue to grow.
