In Luke 7 the imprisoned John the Baptist sent a couple of his followers to Jesus to ask Him if He was the promised Savior that was to come. He responded by telling them to go back and report what they had seen and heard regarding the ministry of Jesus. The scripture tells us that one of the things Jesus was doing was preaching the good news to the poor.
