God’s direction like a stop light
pastor corner

As I was looking at a stop light the other day, I thought about how God guides our lives.

On a stop light there are the three colors of green, yellow and red.

The green means go, the yellow means proceed with caution, and the red means stop.

There are times when God is allowing us to move forward in a particular direction because it is in His will and is something that will be for our benefit and God’s glory.

This is like the green light.

There are also times when God brings something into our lives that slows us down. We may end up going in a certain direction but not now. This is like the yellow light.

Then there are times when God puts obstacles in our way and causes us to stop and go in a different direction altogether. This is like the red light.

What we need to know is that if we choose to go a different direction than our God is leading, then the results are not good.

We need to constantly seek His will for our life and submit to it.

We need to trust in His Word as it tells us in Romans 8:28 that “all things work together for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
