Editor, The Pembroke American Legion Auxiliary Unit 164 will hold a ceremony to honor all fallen veterans at 11 a.m. Saturday. The ceremony will be held at the caboose on Highway 280 in Pembroke.
We owe not just this holiday but the very freedom that allows us to celebrate. Without the Minutemen, we would still be under English rule. Without the Dough Boys, we could be under German rule — and so it goes from World War II through all the conflicts we have been through.
Set aside some time to join us as we honor the service men and women who gave us this freedom.
