If you read Saturday’s paper, you may recall the Bryan County News – along with the Richmond Hill-Bryan County Chamber of Commerce – is sponsoring a political forum July 10 involving candidates for the school board.

While details of how the forum will run are still being ironed out, all seven candidates for the Board of Education have told us they will attend. We’ve also gotten lucky in that Richmond Hill developer Gene Brogdon has, in a fine display of public spiritedness, donated use of the Speir Brogdon Building to be home to the event.

It will seat 280 people, we’re told. Our hope is all of those seats are taken.

In the meantime, keep reading the Bryan County News for more details about the forum, which will include an opportunity for you to ask questions of the candidates.

After all, it's your school board.
